I have dead space 1 and 2 where at most I needed to log in within the game with an EA user account which was easier than forcing peoples using 2 platforms same time. but i already purchased dead space 3 on origins, and now steam wants me to purchase it again. The game will be added to your origin account. When you buy a game on steam that uses origin. I've played with people who play it on origin. But i was just interested in how owning the same game works on both platforms. 2 The Cook 2:22pm \ Originally posted by SINISTERsoul: Yes the game is crossplay with origin users. I'm not planning to buy this game steam, because i alredy own it origin. Thank you for letting me know, I have user accounts on steam and origin. Personally I would buy it direct from Origin, but that's a personal choice. If you buy on Steam and you don't have an Origin account then you will have to sign up for one I assume. However BOTH Steam and Origin will be required to play the game and afaik you must launch it from Steam. If you but on Steam then yes, there will be an icon for it on Origin. I have Dead Space 1 &2 on Steam and 3 on Origin which is what I personally prefer, so what you choose is up to you. If you don't have an EA account, you'll need to create one. However, upon opening the game, it'll require your EA account to be registered for co-op gameplay. All newer EA games are like this now, they all use Origin. I already have Dead Space 3 on Origin Can I get it on my steam account without having to buy it again, I want to buy the dlc through steam. It depends on the game though, for eg I have Mad Max on both Steam and Origin and they are completely separate. Online Creating an Account/Logging In to your Account Dead Space 3 is hosted on Steam's platform, and is available to buy from the Steam store. Yes you need to use Origin in order to play and its the only way to activate the game. I have a couple of games on Steam that do this which is why I don't like it.
